The Gospel Travelers

 
 

The Gospel Travelers is a topnotch, crowd pleasing, fully faceted bluegrass group that has been entertaining the public for over 8 years.    The Gospel Travelers has played at many bluegrass festivals such as Roper Mountain & the Blue Ridge Festival.  They have played for many churches of various denominations as well an many public & private forms and music halls.


The Gospel Travelers is the only group that is actually hails from Dark Corners, SC.  The senior member of The Gospel Travelers, Clint Plumley, Allen Gosnell & Nathan Barnette still in habit Dark Corners.... The two foreigners are:  Carl Yother, from Easley, SC & Jackie Dolby is from Anderson, SC.



 


The Gospel Travelers has a unique sound. We have tremendous variety in our voice, instrumentation and song.  Every song and every singer sounds different from the next.    Each person’s voice has a totally different sound of their own.  Every musician expresses their passion for their music to the fullest....Then to the mix you add the chemistry that produces a high energy bluegrass extravaganza that comes from lovin’ what you’re doing. 


Our senior member of the group, Clint Plumley, plays rhythm guitar and sings. Carl Yother, plays banjo, guitar & fiddle, and sings.  Jackie Dolby, plays dog house bass and sings.  Allen Gosnell, plays lead guitar and sings.  The rising star in our group, Nathan Barnette, plays dobro, picks a mean guitar, mandolin, banjo and harmonica.
